Cinnamon Roll Christmas Tree
This is a great make ahead treat for
Christmas morning.
So Easy:
*I use two tubes of Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon
rolls.
*After opening, I arrange the rolls in a tree shape*
*Bake according to package directions, frost with
the provided glaze.
*Add a cherry to the top of each cinnamon roll
(I prefer to use green cherries on the tree and a red
one on the top, but the store did not have green cherries
this time)

OK, this is a crazy idea but it really works. I LOVE this sauce. It comes out much better than store bought. I gave these for last minute gifts in a basket with apples for dipping. Yummmmm! Thanks to This Crazy Life for sharing:

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas
Looking back through this old Christmas Window is charming.
This DIY Christmas window is easy:
*Just remove any old glass in an old window
*Wire brush any old paint off
*Staple a length of artificial garland to the bottom corner and add some berries and twigs. You can't see in the photo, but I added lights too so it looks really good at night.
* For the doily swag, I stenciled letters on fabric doilies, folded the top back and glued a pocket to slide the ribbon through. Swag it and attach to the back of the window with tacks so it can be removed or changed whenever you like.
This window looks great all the way through winter!

Furry Spider
This furry spider is fun and easy to put together. It looks great on a counter or hung by a stretchy string from a window or doorway. The supplies are easy to find and not expensive so I hope you'll give it a try.
Here are the easy steps to create your own:
The supplies you'll need are colorful pipe cleaners, doll eyes, a package of black boa, a hot glue gun and hot glue sticks, wire cutters.
First you will twist three different colors of pipe cleaners together to form four sets.
Next gather the four legs in the middle and twist them all together. Also cut one black pipe cleaner in half, and one more twisted 3 color set, cut in half . Wrap the colorful half around the middle twist, the black pipecleaner around all of it. Hot glue the center all together. (making 8 legs, short front feelers and black wraps for the eyes.
Start with a 36" length of boa, folded in half and hot glue to the underside of the twisted center. Begin loosely wrapping the boa around the center twisted area, adding hot glue to the bottom center on every time around. When wrapping make an 8 by wrapping on one side of center across the middle and then the other side. Finish off on the underside with a hidden dab of hot glue.
Now make a loop in each black pipe cleaner to allow the end of the eye to be glued in place.
Next, grasp all 4 legs on one side of the body, bend them to make an L shape over your fingers. Do the same for the other side. Then do the same with the bottom edge to turn upward to form an L for the feet. Turn the two front feeler edges down. Trim the feet so that the pipe cleaners are the same length.
Enjoy your spider! |

Vintage Silverware picture holder
Those stray pieces of vintage silver plate have now found a purpose! So charming and useful. You can use them tarnished or polished. Follow these simple steps:
You will need, heavy pliers and vintage silver or silver plate forks.
Begin by bending the outside tong back to a right angle.
Then bend the other outside tong back to a right angle.
Next, bend the center tongs forward one at a time to a right angle.
Turn the tip of the tongs up on both the back and front tongs.
Adjust the angels so that the fork now stands up level and will hold a frame.
There you go, a charming vintage fork picture holder!

Craft toolbox coastal makeover
I found the perfect box for my craft tools at a garage sale for $2. The only problem was it looked really old and not so coastal. Sooooo, out came my trusty spray paint and a little sand paper and now it looks much better.
Before:
I spray painted it with Krylon satin white paint (sorry I didn't get a picture of the process)
I glued seashells to pieces of raffia for the bow. The box works great to hold my craft tools and supplies that I carry from place to place to work on projects.

Concrete wall makeover
A quick trick for making over plain concrete blocks or pavers is SPRAY PAINT! Who knew! I was going to get concrete stain, which is pretty expensive and takes quite a bit of time, but I needed to get it done in a hurry. Sooooo, I tried using spray paint. It worked GREAT and looks good even close up.
BEFORE:
SPRAY PAINT WITH
A LIGHT COAT:
AFTER:
Be sure you use light coats. It creates a "stained" look rather than a painted finish.
